This ballpoint pen was crafted in the ‘Beginning Pen Turning’ class at Woodcraft.
This is the pen making kit. Two wooden blanks, tubes to be mounted to the lathe, and the pen internals.
The first step is to create straight holes that run the length of the wooden blanks.
The tubes are then glued into the wood.
Once on the lathe, the pen is shaped.
Once shaped, the pen is sanded and polished.
A picture of my friend who took the class with me! His pen turned out so cool.
The pen internals are pushed together with the wooden barrels using a pen pusher. Ta-da! Final product.
